The Fokker Atlantic F.10 (Model 10)
A successful three-engined 12-seater, designed in 1928 and built by Atlantic from then on.
The F.10 was equipped with three 425 hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp engines.
The first customer was Western Air Express, which deployed the F.10 on the Los Angeles-San Francisco route from May 1928.
The F.10 was a large and comfortable machine for its time.
Only seven examples of the basic F-10 were built.
Only F.10s were later converted to F-10A.
The F.10 was sometimes referred to as the F.10 Trimotor. There was also a "Deluxe" version with a modified interior featuring luxury seats and/or (sleeping) couches.
Five aircraft went to Western Air Express, the other two to the oil companies Richfield Oil Company and Shell.
