The Fokker Atlantic Holland F.VII (Model 6) Trimotor
All F.VII versions were designated Model 6 in the USA. The three-engined variant was also designated there as the Fokker Trimotor.
A number of F.VII versions were shipped directly from the Netherlands to an American user (these are described on the European aircraft page of the site).
From the Netherlands, approximately 15 F.VII versions were shipped to the USA as fuselages or in their entirety and assembled or converted there in the Atlantic factory.
At Atlantic itself a number of wings were also built for the F.VII (versions).
The F.VII served as a model for a number of fully developed and built types in one of the Fokker factories in the USA.
Some (complete) F.VII versions were given a different construction number in the USA than the construction number of the fuselage built in the Netherlands.
The most commonly used engine for the Fokker Atlantic Holland F.VII was the Wright R-790 Whirlwind J-4B radial engine of 200 hp.
