Fokker Atlantic C-2A (Model 7)

The Fokker Atlantic C-2A was an improved version of the Fokker Atlantic Holland C-2. The wing had a larger span.

Eight C-2As saw service with the USAAC.

Three Wright R-790 Whirlwinds, each of 220 hp, powered the C-2A.

Some C-2As also used the 300 hp Wright R-975 Whirlwind engines.

CN 604. In this C-2A AC 26202, Lieutenants Lester Maitland and Albert Hegenberger made the first flight across the Pacific Ocean on June 28, 1927. They flew from mainland California to Hawaii. The aircraft was named "Bird of Paradise."
